What’s Included?
SATURDAY
- Our Active Weekend Breaks start on Saturday mornings from 10am.
- We meet at the Hunt Museum in Limerick City, where you will get to enjoy amazing artifacts and stories of the past (dating back to 800AD).
- After this amazing Museum Tour you get to visit King John’s Castle (by land or by water), as Kayaking on the River Shannon is an option if you feel a little more adventurous.
- Enjoy a fascinating Walking Tour of Limerick (the Gateway City of the Wild Atlantic Way).
- Or instead, visit Limerick’s Treaty City Brewery and listen to some traditional Irish Music.
- Then it’s time to drive you to the Loop Head in Co.Clare (about 1.5 hours away), where you stay overnight in the beautiful seaside village of Kilkee.
- We work with top quality accommodation, restaurants and activity providers that are locally-owned establishments, so you are guaranteed to enjoy a comfortable bed, a hot shower and a delicious meal after your days Adventure.
SUNDAY
- Sunday morning you have the option to try out some adventure activities such as Kayaking, Coasteering, Cycling if you wish.
- Following this take in a breathtaking Walking Tour along the many beautiful cliffs along Ireland’s west coast.
- Or even take a trip to the Loop Head Lighthouse.
- You will have certainly built up an appetite so you can enjoy lunch and relax for a while (we can recommend somewhere to eat for you).
- After Lunch, take a trip to the majestic 700ft high Cliffs of Moher experience, which is the most famous tourist attraction on the west coast of Ireland.
- Your guide will lead you along quieter paths and panoramic vantage points for that perfect once-in-a-lifetime photos.
- Then finish back at the Hunt Museum in Limerick around 5:30pm.
This is a true combination of adventure and relaxation, with castles, history, culture, cliffs and walks along the Wild Atlantic Way of Ireland.
